Acetylcholinesterase (AchE)

Acetylcholinesterase (AchE), also called true cholinesterase (AchE) : high activity, selective hydrolysis of Ach essential enzyme, can make Ach hydrolyzed into choline and acetic acid.The true choli-neesterase substrates in cholinesterase are highly specific because they only break down the narrow range of substrates centered on acetylcholine.Acetylcholinesterase is a key enzyme in biological nerve conduction. In the synapse of cholinergic synapse, this enzyme can degrade acetylcholine, terminate the excitatory effect of neurotransmitters on the postsynaptic membrane, and ensure the normal transmission of nerve signals in the organism.
